AGARTALA, Jan 8 (TIWN): Governor of Tripura Tathagata Roy kicked off the 9th session of the State Assembly on Friday at 11 a.m. at State Assembly House of Capital Complex.
As per the regulation, the first day of the session began with the speech of Governor Tathagata Roy.
The assembly session will continue for five days, except Saturday and Sunday from January 8 till January 14. It is expected that the assembly will table vote-on-account and place a new bill-‘Indian system of Medicine-2016.
It is to be mentioned here that this session is the first session of the current year.
However, speaker of Tripura Assembly imposed some restrictions on the movement of members, staffs and audiences in the assembly premises for security reason during the assembly session. According to the restriction order, no person or vehicle except rickshaw are allowed to enter in the assembly without having valid pass till the ending of session. As per the requirement, members of legislative assembly, media personnel, audiences and the staffs of assembly have to display the valid pass provided by assembly secretariat to the security personnel in the entrance gate.
The members of legislative assembly, media personnel, audiences and the staffs of Tripura assembly are allowed to bring their vehicles into the assembly premises based on valid entry pass. The assembly members not necessary to take separate entry pass for their bodyguards. The speaker further imposed restriction to the audiences, government employees, media personnel and assembly staffs for not to carry bags or any objectionable things into the assembly premises. Besides, the speaker also prohibited using mobile phone across the session area.
