KDCC demanded to take legal action against the chit fund companies

KAILASHAHAR, Jan 3 (TIWN): With an aim to develop the Kailashahar sub-division in all the way, District Congress Committee on Saturday staged six hours long sit and demonstration in front of the District Congress Bhawan.

The demonstration started at 1 pm when the members of the District Congress Committee and the supporters assembled in front of the District Congress Bhawan.

Supporting the demands of the District Congress Committee with an aim to improve the sub-division, Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President Birajit Sinha also joined the demonstration.

Besides, Kailashahar District Congress Committee President Badar-ud-Jaman, PCC member Rudrendu Bhattacharjee, Youth Leader Bikash Sharma and others were present.

They demanded to complete the renovation work of the Kumarghat-Kailashahar National Highway, to take legal action against the chit fund companies which have looted the money of the common people, to set up a technical college at Kailashahar, to provide safe drinking water and many other demands to fulfil.

Besides, they also demanded to establish a B. Ed college at Kailashahar so that the educated unemployed can get training and can make themselves self sufficient.

Stressing over the tourism facility in the Unakoti District, the committee has demanded to establish tourist guest house, to connect rail track to Kailashahar District Sadar, to convert the Kailashahar Ramkrishna College to State University, to identify land for the establishing Kailashahar Airport.

However, they also urged to provide the State Government employee like central salary, to provide BPL card to the families who comes under the list of below poverty line, to establish a fertilizer industry at Kailashahar and others.

It is to be mentioned here that earlier in a press conference District Congress Committee President Badarud-jamman on December 31said that for prolonged many days the committee has been placing deputation to the District Magistrate but yet today no initiatives have been taken regarding the demands.

With 21 demands, Kailashahar District Congress Committee staged the six hours long sit and demonstration.

However, it has been mentioned that if the demands are not fulfilled than the committee will be bound to call for strike on February 18.
