AGARTALA, Jan 2 (TIWN): All Tripura Engineers Association on Saturday organized 10th Biennial State Conference at Nazrul Kalashetra with reference to records and information produced for the purpose of audit.
At the inaugural programme of the 10th Biennial State Conference of ATEA, the audited receipts and payment for the period November 1, 2013 to December 20, 2015 has been presented.
During the programme it has been mentioned that an immediate initiatives must be taken to create a committee at the sub-divisions where no committee has been formed yet. Besides, it has been urged that every month an initiatives must be taken to organize a meeting with the divisional and local committee.
Besides, the member were urged to collect the monthly fee for the association every month, after the release of the Voice of Engineers immediate initiatives must be taken to make it reach to the common mass.
They also demanded to introduce health insurance for the employees of the State Government, to recruit engineers at the Power Corporation, to provide promotion in every department through DPC and others.
However, the association has placed several other demands at the State Conference.
The programme has been inaugurated by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar in the presence of the other dignitaries. ‘Voice of Engineers’ was also released at the programme.
It is to be mentioned here that altogether there were three business session at the programme. During the first session a discussion was held on the Secretarial report, accounts, and basic issues. At the second session, a committee has been formed to submit the charter of demands, organizational proposal, movement programme and others.
However, during the third business session the existing committee has been dissolved and new committee has been formed. Besides, first working committee meeting, election of the secretariat body and officer bearer has been observed.​
