AGARTALA, Dec 29 (TIWN): When the state government is grappling after the termination of 156 RMSA teachers, hundreds of SSA and RMSA teachers under the banner of All Tripura Contract Teachers association marched the streets demanding regularization of their service and held mass demonstration at Vivekananda Stadium on Tuesday. Teachers from across the state assembled at Vivekananda stadium raising slogan for regularization of their service. However, teachers of SSA and RMSA under the banner of All Tripura Contract Teachers’ Association (ATCTA) demanded to give them salary as per the pay scale of the state government scale, to provide all the incentives like other scale graph of the state government. In their speech, they strongly demanded regularization of their service at the earliest. They also advocated for equal pay for equal job.The association members also said that they will also raise the issue in the state committee meeting of the association which is scheduled to be held on January 2016.However, the association is also scheduled to place deputation to the State Project Director Rajya Mission. Demanding the withdrawal of the termination of 156 laboratory assistants and computer operators by the state government recruited under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyaan (RMSA) the All Tripura Contract teachers and employee’s association workers on Tuesday held mass demonstration at Vivekananda stadium demanding justice to the RMSA workers re-appointment of the teachers.

Raising slogans against the decision of the state government regarding the termination of the 156 RMSA workers the workers are scheduled to hold protest till evening 3 pm since morning.

Allegations also rouse that the state government has been depriving the SSA teachers when it comes to salary and other perk.

While the Centre has been giving enough fund to provide good salary to the SSA and RMSA teachers, the state government has been paying less to ‘maintain parity’ with the regular teachers, alleged a teacher.

However, the members demanded the regularization of their job and also demanded the withdrawal of the termination of the RMSA teachers. The members further said that if their demands are not fulfilled they will further stage massive protest in the coming days.
