AGARTALA, Dec 23 (TIWN): Criminal Investigation Department on Wednesday organized the 2nd Tripura State Police Duty meet at Arundhuti Nagar Hockey ground.
The two day long programme has been inaugurated by DG K. Nagaraj in the presence of Inspector General of Police (Law and Order)- Anurag Dhankar, DIG (Southern Range)- Uttam Majumder and many other police officials who has attended the Police Duty Meet on Wednesday.
Addressing the programme, DG K. Nagaraj expressed annoyance that the Tripura police cannot maintain the restricted area during the investigation of any incident.
It is to be mentioned here that when any incident happens, police seal the area and allows none to enter in to the restricted area so that there should not be any kind of interference and the police can do their work properly.
Urging the officials to investigate properly, DG K. Nagaraj said that proper investigation should be maintained.
Besides, he urged the police officers to be responsive to do the best. However, every official must be patiently deal with the investigation as it may get complete soon or it may also take long time to come to conclusion.
The investigation officers should give importance to the physical evidences in course of collecting materials from the place of occurrence to avoid hostile during the trial, said Nagaraj.
Besides, the officials were trained to conduct better investigation in any case.
The officials were guided over Investigation/collection of evidences, Handling, labelling, packing, developing finger print, observation, photography and casting of foot prints.
DGP K. Nagaraj inaugurated the two days long event by cutting ribbon and hosting the flag of the Police Department.
However, it has been mentioned that this kind of police duty meet aiming at the enhancement of quality of investigating officer resulting in increase of conviction rate. It also increases the quality of investigation of the Police Department.
