AGARTALA, Dec 17 (TIWN): In a bizarre incident a house was burnt into ashes when a cylinder blasted at Dhaleshwar on Thursdayevening. The incident took place on Thursday evening in he house of Jishu Saha at Vivek Palli of Dhaleshwar. Panic gripped the area, when such a massive fire broke out in a house at Vivekpalli.
Reportedly, the incident took place in the evening when a localite of the area witnessed flames rising high and immediately realized that fire broke out in the house from cylinder blast.
The eye witness also said that the fire broke out due to cylinder blast. Getting alarm about the fire incident huge police force of East police station has reached the spot immediately.
However, police confirmed that there is no report of any casualty and the fire is bought under control with the initiatives of the localites.
Although one fire engine has reached spot but before they reached the spot the fire was brought under control.
The area is one of the oldest and most-congested in the Dhaleshwar area. Located near a residential area and hence there were fears that the fire could expand much higher.
Police also claimed that the fire sparked off in the house from cylinder blast in the house and there is no report of any suspicious incident behind the massive fire break out.
Tension gripped the area and many came out in the roads to take a look of the incident. People ran to safer place fearing a massive fire in case the flames touched many houses in the area. Following the incident huge crowd gathered in the area. Though the police and fire tenders reached the spot, the panic gradually spread in the entire area generating serious terror among the locals in the area.
Police official confirmed that there is no report of casualty and the fire is now under control.
