CM urged to develop the health service in the State

AGARTALA, Dec 13 (TIWN): Appreciating the initiatives taken by the Divine Touch Medi-Clinic and Krishna Medical Lab, Chief Minister Manhik Sarkar on Sunday urged the participants to focus on better and improved treatment.

Besides, he also said that the initiatives taken by the organization would help the common people to meet their medical need in the State.

Addressing the people at Cornel Choumuhani programme, CM mentioned that every Gram Panchayat has medical sub-centres. Detailing about the chain of the health centre in the State, He further said that joining 4 to 5 Medical Sub- Centres a Primary Health Centre is formed. Rest joining few Primary Heath Centre a Community Health is formed and at the last a Sub-Divisional Centre.

He also mentioned that all the sub-division in the State had a Sub-Divisional Hospital accept Sepahijala District. He further mentioned that the area has been demarked for the hospital and documentation is on progress.

Speaking at the programme, Manik Sarkar said that around 95 percent of State people are dependent over the Government medical service. Therefore, the medical service should be improved and better treatment should be given to the people.

Focusing on the dearth of Nursing colleges and centres in the State, CM has mentioned that within 3 years nursing colleges will be set up. Besides, the State Government would take initiatives to make the self sufficient in the Medical Science with setting up number of Nursing, Paramedical and Medical Colleges.  

During the inaugural programme of the Divine Touch Medi-Clinic and Krishna Medical Lab at Cornel Choumuhani, a voluntary blood donation camp has been organized. Altogether 26 people have donated their blood.

However, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has inaugurated the programme, in the presence of Health Secretary M. Nagaraju, Binoy Sarkar of Kolkata Krishna Medical Lab and others.
