KAMALPUR, Dec 12 (TIWN): As per the speculations of TIWN, the CPI-M secured land sliding 11-0 victory at Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat utilizing the opportunity of tripartite competition. And in those 11 wards a bit of fighting could be found only at ward no 7.
According to the result announced by the Returning Officer, CPI-M candidates secured 4,459 votes in total in this poll. And even after random joining of supporters in CPI-M, Congress managed to secure as significant as 1,563 votes in total. After much hurly-burly and the presence of Rupa Ganguly, BJP managed to grab 659 votes. 112 votes were casted into NOTA.
At Ambassa, CPI-M secured to get 4,750 votes and Congress managed 2098 votes. While, at Ambassa BJP got 1,903 votes. 98 votes were casted in NOTA. There CPI-M secured 12-01 victory. The only ward won by the opposition Congress was ward number 11.
At Kumarghat Municipal Council, BJP secured 2 wards namely 1 and 12 being the opposition party.
While interacting with the media, CPI-M party secretary Anjan Das claimed this victory as a guiding one for the entire country and befitting reply to the opposition. He also assured that, the new board would put emphasis on increasing the quality of service and generation of employment.
