AGARTALA, Dec 7 (TIWN): Huge number of polling personnel on Monday morning gathered at Umakanata school field to take a note of the polling accessories which are required to conduct a error free election on December 9.
Keeping eye on the ensuing civic poll, polling personnel are set to leave for the polling stations on December 8. The required items to conduct an error free election was distributed among the polling personnel and the EVM will be distributed among the polling personnel on December 8 at Umakanta Academy.
However, the polling personnel will leave for their polling station on December 8.
It is to be mentioned here that all the appointed polling personnel who are given the responsibility to conduct the election is schedule to leave for the polling station on December 8 and will supervise the arrangements at the polling station. This decision was taken to conduct an error free election in the state.
Thousands of police troops will be deployed to maintain law and order during polling day. The police inspector of the respective police station will visit the polling booth to take a note to conduct free and fair election. All precautions are to prevent any untoward incidents during the polling day.
However, it is expected that there is no major threat of any untoward incident of violating model code of conduct and the vote will be conducted without any error.
