AGARTALA, Nov 30 (TIWN): One day has been passed when agents disclosed the unruliness within Udaipur Post Office, under R K Pur area which is headed by Post Master Jayanta Saha, and reportedly Saha is accused of improper dressing within office and continued his misbehavior.

SDM Subhashish Banarjee while Talking to TIWN on Sunday said that Jayanta Saha’s first posting was at Udaipur then he transferred to Santir Bazar.

But within few days, he managed his transfer order back to Udaipur. But in that journey he maintained his misbehavior with the clients and run the offices as per his wish.

“Such govt. officials just shame for the system”, says Banarjee while detailing his crooked behaviour. 

 In various excuses, works are being stopped at offices and clients are bound to roam before the door of the post office  day after day.

According to the reports,  Jayanta Saha by manipulating’ Central schemes demands 10 times more than the required amount for opening accounts and harass the public. 

Whether  in the whole country, any citizen can open accounts with Rs. 10/-, Rs. 25/-, Rs.50/- but at R K Pur Post Office a person atleast needs Rs. 100/- to open a savings account. By manipulating the central schemes, Jayanta Saha had forced the customers to open account with atleast Rs. 382.

Under the rule of Saha, no use of “Re-investment” form for the depositor at Post office, whether in the whole state re-investment form is available.

Forcibly he is engaging depositors to open SB accounts, as no use of check is there.

Rough behavior with clients is a common issue at there. After opening SB account depositors have to wait more than 2 months to get the pass-book as this post master is too determined to run office at per his wish. He also harass the public, who do not have ‘Birth Certificate, whether in all other places Aadhaar/ EPIC are used if one has no birth certificate. As a result, troubles has no limit for the tribals or villagers who come from far distances.

Maximum times internet remains down at Udaipur R K Pur Post office but  due to that delay of work for poor internet service, public are depositing money with late-fee.

Talking to SDM Subhashish Banarjee, he agreed that complaints had come against Jayanta Saha in Udaipur offices including to DM & SDM offices, but the in-charge of inspection Dipankar Jamatia failed to submit the report, which he was asked to submit. SDM asked him to submit the report soon.

Inquiry is further going on, says Banarjee.
