AGARTALA, Nov 29 (TIWN): Election tempo is rising among parties for attention as municipal election is knocking door, also a litmus test for India's only communist ruled state and its Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. Most voters have already decided whom to cast their valuable vote as CPI-M so far ahead in race due to party discipline and lack of infightings like Congress or organizational weakness like BJP. In Tripura, even though Cong and CPI-M are considered as traditional competitors, however BJP is increasing its vote share since 2 years in spite of poor organizational strength and dynamic local leaderships. As per Political analysts, facts can’t be denied that BJP has a long way to go in the political map of Tripura to match over 2 decades old CPI-M's game plans. Tripura State BJP President Sudhindra Dasgupta while talking to TIWN on Saturday evening said that BJP candidates, party members all are working very hard for the sake to solidify party's organizational strength and BJP is hopeful that vote-banks will surely rise than the previous years. “Day by day Tripura administration being marred by rampant corruptions under the reign of Manik Govt. also due to CM's handpicked corrupted officials and moral degradations, whole State Govt is involved in corruption from Block to District levels ”, claimed State BJP Chief.

Although in comparison with Cong. & CPI-M, campaign on the part of BJP seems less this time, but Sudhindra Dasgupta said that, “Like other parties we are also doing our best and more campaigning are left which will be covered within next few days”.

Election fever on rise here in state with all the political parties have been geared up election campaigns, submitting memorandums and door to door vote-begging. Rubbishing CPI-M’s stage campaigns and excess expenditures, Sudhindra added, “Last time in local body elections, CPI-M got less percentage of votes, although won, and this time vote percent will reduce further as  day by day Manik Sarkar led CPI-M Govt losing popularity due to rampant corruptions by CM's close coteries".

"Cong. in Tripura only a different colour coin from CPI-M, but both are sides of same coin and CPI-M's best time tested friend is Congress’ . “faction ridden Cong. has no chance to win in this local poll”, added Dasgupta.

However asking about what change will BJP bring if it comes in power Dasgupta said," once BJP in power they will focus to wipe out the corruption in one go. Corruption is a curse, which spreading like diseases, especially when a state is in crisis. Under the reign of Manik Sarakar so many corrupted officials names have been identified, from Panchayat members to High Officials everyone is as unworthy to trust and so to wiping out the corruption will be BJP’s first aim" , Dasgupta added.

However, asking about the idea of smart city, Dasgupta says, development doesn’t mean only making few buildings unscientifically. However, we have promised to make the capital city not only a smart city, but to develop its infrastructure in all way. Infrastructure, which includes many things including availability of all facilities, either medical or transport system all will be taken care “if” BJP is given chance to do by the votes of people.

Asking about the meaning of smart city he says, “Not only a smart city, but any City must have proper water sewage system, underground laying of electric and telephone lines, good  parking facility, scientific construction of  Marketing complex, construction of new park and renovation of the existing parks etc.

“Tripura’s economy has been broken down in 22 years misrule by a morally inept Chief Minister. So state’s economy need to be fixed soon”, says Dasgupta.

However, at the end Dasgupta aded, BJP is hopeful for this upcoming election, also many Union Ministers recent visits is a sign that central govt is serious about the development of Tripura. So once BJP comes in power, it will change the 'Whole-System' and root out all corruptions".
