AGARTLA, Nov 28 (TIWN): “Greed doesn’t rest until it’s satisfied & greed is never satisfied”, this great quote is applicable to understand why after so many cases and allegations against the state govt. officials of Tripura, corruption always on rise. An example of the present Principal Secretary, GSG Ayyangar, whose department once was changed by Manik Sarkar to save him from the charges of corruption; but as soon as he joined in another department (as the Principal Secretary RD Department his corruption tainted lust started again. GSG Ayangar can be called as the most scam experienced IAS official who was caught red-handed for pocketing crores in Hyderabad Lamp light scam.

With the recent report, 527 villages are under massive corruption with the charge of Principal Secretary CSG Ayyangar. The audit report which had been submitted by RD Dept. related to the Hejamara West Block, was totally disproportionate and imbalanced. The report which was given by Principal Secretary of the financial year 2013-14 has been found with huge embezzlement of money, which has no similarity with the real scenery at all. Moreover, in the report no-submission of photographs was pointed, which clearly detects that anyhow dept. had send the report for the name-sake, whether the fund was consumed by corruption tainted Ayyangar.

However, within a year if Ayyangar can do this; question arises, what will happen in the upcoming years?

Huge embezzlement has been caught with a rubber plantation scheme with the amount of Rs. 7,11,000. Question arises if one rubber garden’s fund can cause taint such corruptions in RD block, what would be the whole RD dept.’s fund?

In the month of August, another serious allegation came against him, when a report from the Agriculture Department created turmoil with the embezzlement of atleast 3 crores in the name of Microbiological fertilizer. It was alleged that the duo including Director Deba Prasad sarkar and Principal Secretary GSG Ayyengar had grabbed 3 crores of money in the name of buying Microbiological fertilizers where as only Rs. 50 lakhs was sanctioned.

Also not only in Tripura, but at Hyderabad also Ayyangar was found to be involved in corruption at Municiapal Adminsitration. But Tripura CM Manik Sarkar after all the allegations had chose Ayyangar to be the principal secretary of RD Dept.

At Hyderabad Dr. Ayyangar was working as director, personnel and administration, Singareni Collieries Company Limited  and was allegedly responsible for purchasing the timers used for street lights at an exorbitant price compared to market rates. Even a case was also filed against him there.

But knowing all these, CM Manik Sarkar handed over him a huge govt. post. In all these, Rural Development dept. is under the scanner in Manik’s Golden era, now let it be seen how far the game of corruption extends!
