AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Thursday attending the mass gathering at Sakuntala road organised by All India Democratic women’s forum urged to the people to vote for the left front party and make them win the ensuing civic poll which is slated to be held on December 9.
Addressing the gathering he also said that Left front is the only party that can show the path of development in the land locked state of Tripura. He also said that Left front will always stand beside the people and will always extend a helping hand to the poor section of the society.
Clamouring the call for the development of Tripura, CM Manik Sarkar further said that only left front can bring development in the state.
Criticizing the central government, Sarkar said that "Due to communal polarisation throughout the country, a threat is looming large over secularism and democracy. BJP, after achieving majority, has sped up this communal polarisation.
He also said that BJP, which is controlled by RSS, is trying to spread its ideals for creating a Hindu Rashtra. The resolution also stated that various important educational, cultural and think-tanks of the Union government have been filled with RSS loyalists.
They are trying to force ideologies of Hindutva on educational institutions. In such a situation, the minority community is feeling alienated and are suffering from identity crisis. And Islamic fundamentalists are trying to using this opportunity, said Sarkar.
Lashing out the opposition party Sarkar reiterated that only Left front can bring development to Tripura and urged people to vote for the party and make them win the election.
