AGARTALA, Nov 18 (TIWN): Amendment in land revenue and land reform act, providing direct financial grants to ADC from the central government, demanding to hand over administration of higher education department to ADC along with a total of 11 charter of demand the Indigenous National Party of Twipra (INPT) on Tuesday hold a massive rally at Agartala and moved to secretariat to press for their demands.

The main demand for the march is amendment in land revenue and land reform act. INPT also demanded for providing direct financial grants to ADC from the central government. INPT also demanded for handing over administration of higher education department to ADC.

However, the rally began from Vivekananda stadium which moved across several parts of the city and assembled in front of the secretariat building.

Thousands of people from different corners of the state participated in the rally.

However the party also demanded to launch the inner line permit at ADC area, to include kokborok language as the 8th language in the Indian constitution, along with 11 charter of demand the party hold the massive rally.

It is to be mentioned here that, a total of 17 people were massively injured in a road accident at Boromura when a vehicle carrying party supporters from ADC areas to Agartala to participate in the rally the vehicle met an accident.

All the injured are rush to the hospital and are undergoing treatment.

However, Party president Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl along with other dignitaries remained present in the rally.
