AGARTALA, Nov 13 (TIWN): Sedhai Police on Thursday recovered an unidentified body from beneath the bridge at South Taranagar of Mohanpur.
According to the Police sources, the age of the deceased is 50 above. However, police is yet to identify the name and the family members of the deceased.
The body has been taken to the Mohanpur Hospital; by tomorrow post-mortem will be conducted. Later, the police will proceed with the investigation.
It has been mentioned that at first the locals found the body which was half drown in to the water. Getting alarm about the incident the police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
Later the body was taken to the Mohanpur Hospital for post mortem. The post mortem will be conducted by tomorrow.
The police are yet clueless and further investigating the case. Panic gripped over the area as it is just behind the college. Besides, the localities stated that they are not aware when the body got hanged and do not have any idea when this incident has happened.
However, if we go through the reports, the capital as well as in various interior part of the State has virtually become a dumping ground for bodies.
Reports of the unidentified dead bodies have become a daily feed for the news papers and the channels in the State
Bodies of several persons who have been killed are thrown on roads, drains, railway tracks and secluded areas and they are unidentified.
However, the State has become a hub of crimes where one after other day heinous incident related to murder is reported from every corner and police is simply playing the role silent spectator.
