AGARTALA, Nov 12 (TIWN): Finally days after Left Front and BJP has declared the names of their candidates for the Civic Poll, Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee on Thursday declared the list of their candidates.

A State Level committee has been constituted to monitor administrative and election matters. Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee fielded Krishna Dhan Nath  as Chairman of the committee, while Rahul Saha, Tanmoy Chakraborty, Rakesh Das, Joydeep Bhattacharjee and Anjan Saha has been selected as the member.

Addressing a Press Conference, Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President Birajit Sinha on Thursday declared the list of candidates for Agartala Municipal Corporation Election.  

Gauri Majumder has been selected for ward no. 1, Binadhar Choudhury (ward no.- 2), Milan Das (ward no.- 3), Suparnna Debnath Saha (ward no.- 4), Raju Deb (ward no.- 5), Rajesh Mandal (ward no.- 6), Panna Deb (ward no.- 7), Sanjib Deb (ward no.- 8), Sandha Kar (ward no.- 9), Shyamal Paul (ward no.- 10), Ratna Singha (ward no.- 11), Sujit Deb (ward no.- 12), Fatema Begum (ward no.- 13), Sajal Deb (ward no.- 14), Jayanti Barman Bhowmik (ward no.- 15), Nantu Bhattacharjee (ward no.- 16), Anamika Roy Bhattacharjee (ward no.- 17), Chuni Lal Acharjee (ward no.- 18), Kaberi Debbarma (ward no.- 19), Ratna Datta (ward no.- 20).

However, Amar Ranjan Gupta has been selected for ward no.- 21, Himani Debbarma (ward no.- 22), Mani Mukta Bhattacharjee Majumder (ward no.- 23), Ajoy Indu Singh (ward no.- 24), Basana Debnath (ward no.- 25), Sova Rani Das (ward no.- 26), Swapan Das (ward no.- 27), Santi Ranjan Debnath (ward no.- 28), Ruma Das (ward no.- 29), Naresh Barman (ward no.- 30), Sumita Chakraborty Bhattacharjee (ward no.- 31), Arabinda Datta (ward no.- 32), Shikha Gupta (ward no.- 33), Advocate Abul Hasan (ward no.- 34), Rajat Prava Datta (ward no.- 35), Panchami Sarkar (ward no.- 36), Bapi Das (ward no.- 37), Alok Roy (ward no.- 38), Sampa Sarkar Choudhury (ward no.- 39), Babul Dutta (ward no.- 40), Prabashi Mandal Das (ward no.- 41), Tulsi Das (ward no.- 42), Shyamal Dhar (ward no.- 43), Sangita Das (ward no.- 44), Debashis Bhowmik (ward no.- 45), Shilpi Deb (ward no.- 46), Partha Ranjan Sarkar (ward no.- 47), Tapan Datta (ward no.- 48) and Swapan Das (ward no.- 49).

However, Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President Birajit Sinha mentioned that they will be select Amar Ranjan Gupta as Mayor of the AMC if they win the election.
