Diwali budget increased this year: Rs. 18.5 lakhs sanctioned for the decoration at Tripura Sundari temple, 22 CCTV cameras yet to be installed, SDM talks to TIWN

UDAIPUR, Nov 8 (TIWN): A total of Rs. 18.5 lakhs has been sanctioned for the age old celebration of Diwali festival of 2015 at Udaipur Tripureshari Mandir, said Sub-Divisional Magistrate Subashish Banarjee here on Saturday. Talking to TIWN correspondents, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Subashish Banarjee said that altogether 22 CCTV cameras will be installed at the various major areas of the temple and its premises. Besides, he also said that massive search operation has initiated across the area on Saturday in all public places, motor-vehicles, hotels, restaurants, busy market places with bomb and dog squads.To ensure safe and secure celebration of Diwali festival, a total of 10 watch towers will be set up and one Police assistance booth will also be installed to avoid any kind of untoward incidence.However, earlier talking to SDM he said, last year the budget was less than 10 lakhs, whether this year it has become double.

For the most awaiting Diwali festival where the preparation is on full swing, it has been decided that Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Bhanu Lal Saha will inaugurate the celebration. 

According to the official report, Tourism Minister Ratan Bhowmik, Rural Development Minister Naresh Jamatia, TTAADC (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Radhacharan Debbarma, ADC Executive Member Joy Bahadur Jamatia, District Sabadhipati Suniti Saha, District Magistrate Sonal Goel and Local MLA Madhab Saha is expected to remain present.

A grand fair is also organised during the two days of Diwali festival, people from various parts of the State enthusiastically visits the Holy place. Altogether 30 stalls will be set.

Describing about the security during Diwali celebration it has been mentioned that huge number of police will be deployed to maintain peace in the area. Besides, to ensure proper security and to keep strict vigilance across the State the police personals will be deployed in plain clothes.

Enhancing about the medical facilities, Bandopadhyay said that altogether there will be four ambulances with doctors and medicine facilities so that a proper initiative can be taken during emergency.

While entire area was decorated and illuminated with multiple colours, the preparation for the celebration of the age old festival has been over by 90 percent, said SDM Banarjee.

However, around 500 volunteers will be pressed into action and 75 volunteers will be from Disaster Management. A large number of devotees are expected to gather in the temple premises across the country to celebrate the festival and to worship goddess Kali.
