AGARTALA, Nov 6 (TIWN): Among all the 49 seats in the ensuing Municipal election, CPI (M) will be fighting for 42 seats.

It has been mentioned that three seats has been allotted to CPI. Whereas, RSP and Front Bloc has been allotted with two seats each.

Speaking in a Press Conference, Deputy Speaker Pabitra Kar declared the name of the candidates here on Friday at Party office. Among the 42 seats, altogether 38 new faces have been introduced for the upcoming election.

The candidates for the AMC election of Left Front are- Jhuma Sakar (ward no.- 1), Smriti Sakar (ward no.- 2), Nikhil Deb (ward no.- 3), Tanima Ghosh (ward no.- 4), Krishna Majumder (ward no.- 5), Ratan Sarkar (ward no.- 6), Sima Datta Gupta (ward no.- 7), Nimai Chandra Banik (ward no.- 8), Gita Deb Lodh (ward no.- 9), Mrinmoy Sen (ward no.- 10), Supriti Paul (ward no.- 11), Bishwajit Deb (ward no.- 12), Kanika Paul (ward no.- 13), Haripada Chakraborty (ward no.- 14), Ratna Sutradhar (ward no.- 15), Kamalesh Paul (ward no.- 16), Fulan Bhattacharjeee (ward no.- 17), Durga Prasad Chakraborty (ward no.- 18), Aparupa Debbarma (ward no.- 19), Jaya Biswas (ward no.- 21), Tulshi Debbarma (ward no.- 22), Uma Chanda (ward no.- 23), Prafullajit Sinha (ward no.- 24), Aparna Debnath (ward no.- 25), Kalpana Hrishidas (ward no.- 26), Sushanta Das (ward no.- 27), Samar Chakraborty (ward no.- 28), Soma Biswas (ward no.- 29), Prabodh Chandra Das (ward no.- 30), Mayarani Saha (ward no.- 31), Mira Biswas (ward no.- 33), Malay Chakraborty (ward no.- 34).

However, Gargi Ghosh Choudhury has been selected for ward no.- 35, Bulti Das (ward no.- 36), Dipankar Das (ward no.- 37), Mithu Shil (ward no.- 38), Ajoya Chakraborty (ward no.- 39), Abhijit Bhattacharjee (ward no.- 40), Gita Das Debnath (ward no.- 41), Bithika Paul Das (ward no.- 42), Biplab Bhowmik (ward no.- 43), Swapna Nath (ward no.- 44), Mrinal Kanti Biswas (ward no.- 45), Rubi Paul Deb Choudhury (ward no.- 46), Biswajit Biswas (ward no.- 47), Dhanamani Singha (ward no.- 48) and Tapan Biswas (ward no.- 49).

Along with the candidates for the Agartala Municipal Corporation, party has also declared the names of the candidates for the Mohanpur Municipal Council. The names are- Kakali Saha (ward no.- 1), Uttam Paul (ward no.- 2), Jharna Majumder (ward no.- 3), Uttam Debnath (ward no.- 4), Rupali Debnath (ward no.- 5), Subhas Chandra Debnath (ward no.- 6), Sadhana Das (ward no.- 7), Anita Debnath (ward no.- 8), Arbinda Sarkar (ward no.- 9), Matilal Das (ward no.- 10), Swapan Debnath (ward no.- 11), Malina Sarkar (ward no.- 12) and Manik Das (ward no.- 13).

Candidates for Ranirbazaar Municipal Council are- Mira Bhattacharjee (ward no.- 1), Sentu Ghosh (ward no.- 2), Pratima Chakraborty (ward no.- 3), Shankar Saha (ward no.- 4), Milan Majumder (ward no.- 5), Pitu Debnath (ward no.- 6), Rina Debnath (ward no.- 7), Shyamal Das (ward no.- 8), Chandan Kumar Das (ward no.- 9), Helan Das (ward no.- 10), Rinku Shil Bhowmik (ward no.- 11), Jitendra Debnath (ward no.- 12) and Biswajit Bhowmik (ward no.- 13).

Besides, Ashit Chakraborty has been listed as the candidate for West Tripura Zila Parisad.

However, names of 11 candidates have been declared for Jirania Nagar Panchayat election.

It has to be mentioned here that the last date for making nomination would be on November 19 and the scrutiny will be done on the following day. Last date for the withdrawal of the nomination would be on November 23.

However, the Municipal election will held on December 9 and the counting will be conducted on December 12.
