AGARTALA, Nov 5 (TIWN): The work progress in the construction of flyover work shows that the flyover will be completed in the given deadline and people will be soon freed from the traffic chaos. With the aim to complete the construction work in the given deadline, flyover work is progressing in full swing to meet the dead line. Progressing with the construction work, the construction agency is now busy ion labelling mud for the construction of the pillar at different spots. Keeping eye on the faster completion of the flyover work, the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose which was situated at Battala has been uprooted from the spot as the flyover will cross through this area. The work progress in the flyover construction shows that the days are not so far when the regular traffic chaos which occurs at Battala will lessen down with the construction of the flyover.

The construction work for building the flyover had kicked off at Agartala Battala with the engineers of the state government here, along with the Nagarjuna Construction Company agency staffs actively engaged to the work which is expected to be completed by 30 months.

However, it is to be mentioned here that Traffic congestion has now become regular scenario. With the on-going pillaring work expanded at the busiest spot of Nagerjala the issue of traffic congestions came into public eye with the regular massive traffic jam from Bordowali-Battala road, disrupting the convenient movement of traffic on the road during office and school hours. Through traffic managers are being deployed on the streets but no relief from the traffic jam.

To expand the road for the smooth running of the vehicles at Battala the foot bridges along the road at Battala has been broken. To provide widened portion of the road for the smooth travelling of the vehicles the foot bridge is broken.

With days the work is now progressing towards Bordowali and digging with crane at the spots for pillaring is already underway.

Once fly over is constructed, vehicles from the Nagerjala bus stand will continue to ply on the same path which is expected to reduced the traffic congestion in the road.

The first ever 2-lane flyover in the capital city will lower the traffic jam and will make a smooth running of vehicles in the street.

The main motive of creating the Fly-Over Bridge is to seek solution to hectic traffic jam at Battala. As day by day the population and the number of vehicles are increasing, the problems arise in traffic system too.

The flyover, which would start from Drop Gate (Fire Service office), would touch Fire Brigade Chowmuhani via Battala. A subway of the fly over will be created up to Melarmath. As per the layout of the project, the Banayan tree and the temple at Battala will be remained untouched by the fly over.
