Drive against illegal sale of liquor continues

AGARTALA, Nov 5 (TIWN): Keeping eye on the ensuing celebration of the Diwali festival, Dharmanagar police has been conducting special drive to curb the intrusion of phensedyl.

Till the last day of the celebration of the Diwali festival the special operation will continue, keen eye has been placed over the drug dealers and intrusion of drugs.

This initiative has been taken in order to maintain peace in the area during the celebration tenure. Besides, the police have been nabbing several cartons of illegal foreign made liquor which are being imported in to this state illegally.

Besides, along with selling of phensedyl other drugs were also increasing in the sub-division. And the gabling were also been increasing day by day. Therefore, the police administration has decided to take a special drive to curb the increasing rate of drugs items.

In order to ensure safe and peaceful Diwali celebration in Dharmanagar, the special drive has been taken. However, most of the time Dharmanagar Police got success and nabbed huge quantity of illegal drug items and foreign made liquor.

However, during the special drive in the villages of the sub-division, huge number of local made liquor was seized and destroyed.

Besides, some of the illegal dealers were also arrested.

Despite of several initiatives taken by the police administration of the State, miscreants are continuously importing illegal drug items in the state, creating a tension among the people during the festive tenure.
