Agartala, Sep 11, (TIWN) High Court of Tripura asked the Chief Secretary Dr.S.K. Panda, Addl. Chief Secretary K.V. Satyanarayan, Health Secretary, Health Director, Principal of AGM College, Director Vigilance, MS of both GBP and IGM Hospitals to personally file affidavits for a case relating death of a patient due to negligence of treatment at GBP Hospital, few months back.

All of them else Chief Secretary has been directed to remain present in the High Court  of Chief Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice S. Talapatra on September 24, the next date of hearing of the case.

Division bench of Justice Gupta and Justice Talapatra also pronounced in the first hearing of the case that none would be given extension of time in case proper reasons are not being forwarded on or before September 16 next.

It is mentionable here that a youth breathed his last at GBP Hospital during his treatment. Later it was alleged that the youth became the victim of negligence of treatment in the Hospital and accordingly news was published in all the local dailies of the state.

 After going through the news item Chief Justice of Tripura High Court Mr. Gupta,  took up the sue motto case in public interest. The first hearing of the case was on last Tuesday while Division bench of the state High Court passed the direction.
