People enjoys aerial view of the tourist spot: Chopper Service

AGARTALA, October 22 (TIWN): In order to provide extra ordinary facility during the Durga Puja tenure, helicopter service for Durga Puja revellers along with the aerial view of the Puja Pandal on the capital also enjoyed the view of the tourist spot.

The spot includes- Agartala Secretariat, Raj Bari, Rail Station and the temple of fourteen devotees. The chopper service is being operated Transport Department from the day of Saptami that is on Tuesday.

However, it is expected that the Transport Department will continue its service till Friday.

Ticket service for the Chopper ride is being available in the state-owned Tripura Road Transport Corporation (TRTC). . The fare for the 15-minute chopper ride is Rs.1400 for adults and Rs.1200 for children below 12 years. The fare is subsidised by the central and state government.

Detailing about the boarded number of members, it has been mentioned that only eight person at a time can be boarded in the helicopter of Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd (PHHL).

Pawan Hans, India's lone state-owned helicopter company, has been operating for the past several years in the interior areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram, with the union home ministry subsidising fares by up to 75 percent.

The security forces have intensified their vigil to ensure safety during four-day festival, which began from the day of Sashthi but huge crowd were observed from the day of Chaturthi.

However, to control the increasing number of crowd and to ensure smooth convenience the traffic department had set the no-entry order in the crowded areas from the day of Chaturthi.

Besides, CCTV cameras and metal detectors were installed in every major pandals during the Puja tenure to avoid any kind of untoward incidents.

However, 23 watch towers were also installed and the Paramilitary forces Assam Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and BSF were deployed to keep strict vigilance on the border areas.
