Petrol crisis hits Tripura with the beginning of Durga Puja

AGARTALA, Oct 21 (TIWN): With the beginning of Durga Puja, Petrol crisis has already started to hit the people of the state. Only three petrol pumps of the capital have fuel and that is also uncertain how long the pumps can provide fuel to it consumer. Reportedly, by afternoon the petrol pumps gets dry ad are unable to provide fuel to the consumer.

 The capital has been reeling under limited fuel supplies for prolonged many days. When the auspicious grand celebrations of Goddess Durga just began and people all across the state hop in the vehicles and two wheelers to visits the pandals, the fuel crisis became a matter of worry.

Owners of vehicles are facing great difficulties in obtaining fuel. They are forced to spend their days from the early morning onwards waiting in long queues in front of the petrol stations to get fuel.

However, long queue of people where waiting in petrol pumps in the vicinity of Agartala, people involved in black marketing of fuel are earning high.

Vehicle users of the city have been facing an unprecedented crisis following the unavailability of fuel in most of the petrol pumps, catering to the requirement of motorists of the city and its surrounding areas.

Taking chance of the situation, the black marketers of petrol are selling per liter at Rs. 150 to 200. Getting no other option, being bound with the petrol crisis consumers are buying fuels from black marketers.                                                                                                     

However, the state has been facing crisis for prolonged several months and the people had to suffer.

On the other hand, the suspension of railway service and the deplorable condition of NH-44 has been acting as fuel on the acute scarcity of fuel in the state.

Though, the authority is aware about the pathetic condition which the public has been facing for many months but after several assurance of solving the petrol crisis, till day the public has to wait in a queue for prolonged many hours.
