TPSC scam on Asst. Prof recruitment : High Court stays recruitment, state govt told to submit affidavit on Nov 17 next

AGARTALA, Sep 24 (TIWN): TPSC has become the nerve centre for all types of corruptions in Manik Sarkar's 'golden era' where scamsters enjoying honeymoon with CM and his party. Like miracles, even small coaching centres like 'School of Science' of Shyamali Bazar bagging maximum number of TPSC seats TCS, TPS, TFS by collecting hefty amounts from students. The High Court of Tripura in an order have stayed the recruitment of assistant professors selected by Tripura Public Service Commisison ( TPSC). The list of names was released on September 15, 2015. On Wednesday, Chief Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice SC Das division bench gave the order. After court order the recruitment process was withheld.It is mentionable here that several allegations of irregularities have cropped against TPSC on the issue recruitment and reservation of assistant professor. These have caused serious discontent among a section of reserved category.Its alleged that TPSC acted as a puppet of ruling CPI(M) in recruitment advertisement of PG teachers and assistant professors violating the reservation policy. Protesting it, Bijoya Bhattacherjee filed a writ petition in High Court. After hearing, the court directed the state government to submit an affidavit on November 17 next. Besides, the court also stayed the names of selected assistant professor released by TPSC.The case no is WP (C)172/2015.On June 14, 2014, TPSC gave advertisement on recruitment of 150 assistant professors of different subjects.

UGC have a guideline to recruit college and University faculties and reservation policy. In this case subject wise reservation policy need to be implemented which was not followed by TPSC. 

What they have done is all posts were clubbed together then chocked the reservation policy.

Hence many even after having qualification did not get a call for interview. The writ petitioner, Bioya is one of them  who filed a complaint on May 5, 2015.Arijit Bhowmik was counsel for the writ petitioner.
