AGARTALA, September 11 (TIWN): Raising voice against the recruitment process of the Management of the Tripura Gramin Bank on Thursday the officials said that they will be going to initiate movement if their demand of recruiting 100 percent of candidates who have cleared the exam during the last session are not accepted.

Speaking to the media Assistant Manager Pradeep Dey said that they will be placing their demand to the Local Manager of Tripura.

While addressing in the Head Office at Radhanagar he said that according to the recruitment process the Management has decided that they will recruit 50 percent of candidates who has cleared their exam in the last session. Another 50 percent will be recruited among the candidates who will clear the exam in the recent session.

Therefore, only 50 percent will get chance to work in the bank which will be selected from the earlier exam. But according to the all India bases exam, this year only few students of Tripura may crack the exam and get selected to work in the bank which will be great loss for the state youths, said Dey.

However, he further said that if the Bank is going to recruit 100 percent of candidates from the earlier session than most of the candidates from Tripura will get the opportunity to get job in the Bank, as the recent exams are conducted on all India bases which will be discredit for the youths of Tripura.

Therefore, they just want that if atleast for once 100 percent of the state youth get the chance and selected to work in the Bank than it will be helpful to decrease the number of unemployment in the state.

Therefore, Dey said that if their demands are not fulfilled than they will declare strike on September 28.

Later on, if the Management still do not take any initiatives on the demand than they will be bound to call strike from October 7 and it will continue till their demands are fulfilled.

Tripura Gramin Bank is a Regional Rural Bank established on December 21, in the year 1976 in terms of provisions of Regional Rural Banks Act 1976. .
