AGARTALA, September 10 (TIWN): On the occasion of World literacy day, Manik Sarkar expressed his happiness for Tripura to be the topper in literacy rate and instructed Education Department to secure the position. However, Manik might have forgotten that Tripura’s education system, which lacks basic qualities has finally failed to give outputs here in the state, youth remains work-less after the completion of studies. According to the reports in total of 6,58,679 unemployed names had been registered at govt. ofice among them, Graduate- 47199, Post-Graduate- 9335, Engineer-3026, Doctor-303, Technical- 2101 and others- 27199, number of persons failed in the 8th Standard is recorded as 59494, 8th Standard passed- 248665, Madhyamik- 195034, H.S (+2). Among minority classes, the number of unemployed youths in Scheduled Caste category is 107209, Scheduled Tribes- 152732, OBC- 49018, Muslim Minority- 27357 and Handicapped- 5280. According to the latest National sample survey (NSS Report No-554, 68/10/1) in 2011, the ration of unemployed according to the population is 128 per thousand.

During any interview the scenario of crisis among the youth for jobs comes out. Such an example has given on Wednesday when job-seekers crowded at SC-ST Dept. Agartala. More than 3,000 youth came to collect forms for 41 posts.

Education in Tripura is just for degrees. Here education less, and political supports more is needed to get jobs.

Everyday for various ‘walk-in-interviews’ thousands of unemployed are found in rows for a single post. Knowing that this posts are booked already for few CPI-M cadres or recommended by them and govt. can not disagree that state govt. has not violated norms of recruitment.

On Tuesday, Manik Sarkar on International Literacy Day at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan,  said that altogether 77,000 people has registered their names to appear in the Class III evaluation examination on July 11, 2015, but out of them only 37,000 of them has appeared and among them 82% in state’s average has been passed. But Manik remained calm to mention the number of unemployed which is also to be decreased. Otherwise along the literacy rate, Tripura will have the highest unemployed rate.

Moreover, “Capitalist hater” Manik would not allow industries to be well set up here just to make the state handicapped with no railway connectivity, no fast internet facility, no deal with the outside companies etc.

Tripura jumped to first position among the states of the country in literacy from the 12th position in the 2001 census and the fourth position in the 2011 census, which was mysterious, which again question on the quality of literacy here.

Education in state Tripura is for “no use” until one has political connections. Infact, few of the coaching centers are involved in this scam, which are nothing but Manik’s pet.

Manik Sarkar also asked the Social Welfare and Social Education Department to bring more people under literacy campaign to maintain the position. Whether state is suffering due to unemployment, State govt. is busy in set up of new State University which would create more crisis within the society for jobs, and more production of poverty: hence that’s the strategy of Marxism, production of poor people and to held the crisis.
