AGARTALA, September 10 (TIWN): The state government is not following the guidelines of appointment and re-appointment. Whereas the guidelines are prepared by the government itself. A PIL was filed in High Court of Tripura on Tuesday regarding re – appointment of Dharmeshwar Das as director of Animal resource department (ARD). The division bench of – Chief Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice U B Saha directed the government to submit an affidavit on violation of government guidelines on re – appointment on next hearing to held on October 14.
Writ no. W PC/PIL 19 of 2015 was filed by senior advocate Chandrasekhar Sinha. He said that the state government appointed Das as directed of ARD, former professor and dean of Assam University of Agriculture on 2013. His appointment was for one year as per government notification.
After one year, on June 22, 2014 he was given re- appointment by government. Again on June 23, this again issued the second re – appointment of Das. The second re – appointment brewed serious resentment in the department.
It is alleged that when Das was in Assam University he was indulged with corruptions. Assam assembly house committee in 2004 submitted an inquiry report of his corruption. Then he was terminated Assam University.
