AGARTALA, September 10 (TIWN): Following the work of road-side shops’ eviction, which are built in demense land, Municipality task force on Wednesday reached at Chandrapur, Agartala to evict the shops and other buildings which are made illegally. But when Municipality workers went there Cong. party office members stopped them on the way and as a result a huge turmoil created on that time.

However, Chandrapur’s Congress Party Office too was given notice ealier for making building illegally on demense land.

Most interstingly AMC Councilor Panna Deb, who belongs to Congress Party stood before AMC Task Force and asked them to break down CPI-M based party offices first and then to evict congress Party Office.

Congress leader Panna Deb, also AMC councilor said, “it is an intentional plan by CPI-M to break down the party office of Congress.” Deb also said, “Why they don’t break CITU office at Motor Stand first?”.

“Cong. alleged that Municipalilty is run by govt. so it’s acting according to govt.’s suggesion. Ruling govt. here is running a ‘mafia role’, which tends to harm opposition members always”, alleged Cong.

However, Municipality would not be allowed to evict the party office of Chandrapur so easily, said Deb.
