AGARTALA, September 10 (TIWN): Tripura Police led by East Agartala and Teliamura Police Stations with the help of CCTV footage nabbed 6 Interstate robbers on Wednesday. Multiple interstate robber gangs are choosing Tripura as their destination due to lawlessness, lack of Police intelligence network in State. This arrested gang of robbers came from Kolkata , gang members were looting ATMs, money from different Banks in State. Due to CPI-M’s political interference and lameduck leadership by CBI charge sheeted corrupt DGP K.Nagraj, Tripura Police rarely given free hand like today when Police achieved success in nabbing the culprits. However, full robber gang is yet to be arrested. Only 6 of them are in hands of police at East Agartala Police Station. Police released the names of 6 robbers and they are Sharma Yadav, Sanju Das, Ashish Das, Rakesh Yadav, Kripesh Sing, Sunil Sing. None of them are local resident of Tripura Sharma Yadav, Sanju Das, Ashish Das are residents of Been Bazar, Jalpaiguri, the last 3 are (Rakesh Yadav, Kripesh Singh, Sunil Singh) residents of Chata Pukur, Jalpaiguri. There are another 10 to 12 members in this interstate gang which operates in wide region from Kolkata to Guwahati to North Eastern States and Tripura. Criminals Sharma Yadav, Sanju Das, Ashish Das had been caught by police during the morning hours, whether Rakesh Yadav, Kripesh Sing, Sunil Sing were absconding. Then police after inquiries from 3 of the arrested had come to know that they were hiding at Teliamura. Then Teliamura Police lead by Sub-inspector Shyama Prasad Das’s caught the remaining 3 robbers from Teliamura.

“Tripura CM should immidiately resign from the post of Home Minister as he is unable to maintain the law and order of the state”, said advocate Arun Kanti Bhowmik to TIWN over phone.

Bhowmik who is also BJP spokesperson said “As a Chief Minister he has already failed to perform, which is known to all but as Home Minsiter he failed miserably which is unprecedented for this post”, added Bhowmik.

Thousands of cases are pending, but due the to lack of proper investigations no law and order can be maintained here in the state, added Bhowmik.

According to Advocate Bhowmik, crimes against women are very rampant at Tripura. Dowry deaths, tortures are so high that Tripura Police even shy to mention statistics.

Increasing rates of murder and repetitive police’ failures to get any clue to find out the murderers are example of law-less society.

Bhowmik further mentioned about Jiten Das’s wife Kalpana Das’s murder case and very recently held Santa Saha’s murder case.

These two unsolved cases show that how poor the law and order of the state is being intentionally created by the CPI-M party, added Bhowmik. It is to be mentioned here that all oppsition parites in Tripura are openly blasting at the CM of Tripura for his failure and demanding resignation from the position of CM and as Home Minister.

But Manik sarkar has well managed local and national medias in his support to publicize his personality as “Mr clean”.

CM bought most of the senior journalists, provided Govt Bunglows, job to wives of all national media correspondents so that "mr clean" is propagated.

563 murders, 378 missing, 450 theft at Tripura which are unsolved, said Sinha, State Cong. leader on Monday while adreesing a press meet at Cong. Bhawan.

Despite state govt. failed to provide  proper security to its citizens, but anyhow manages to represent Tripura as a “crime-free” state. A lawless society where before the pubilc, girls are beaten by auto driver, contraband items are seized and everyday rapes are regular incidents the presence of home minister is meaningless, says Bhowmik to TIWN.

It’s to be mentioned here that both the BJP and Cong. are engaged in contionuous protest against the state govt. and blaming openly the CM of Tripura, but interestingly CM has no concern regarding this.

Recently BJP alleged that law and order situation of the state hit so rock bottom that its a lawless state, CM also failed to take control over the administrative sectors of the state.

Bhowmik further alleged, whats the point of keeping a home minster if he is unable to manintain the law and order of the state ?
