AGARTALA, September 9 (TIWN): Long queue of job seekers has been observed at the SC/ST Welfare Department on Wednesday waiting under the scorching sun to submit their forms for the concern post.
Above three thousand candidates were observed standing in the queue for the 41 posts of Field Supervisor at the ST/SC Welfare Department.
At least, three hours before the submission of the job application forms to begin the candidates started to make queue with a hope that they can submit the form soon. The number kept growing over the next few hours.
However, the candidates had to wait for their number under the scorching sun. There was a huge crowd observed inside at the corridors of the Department offices.
The crowd was so huge that there were not even a little same for another person to enter in between. The interested candidates had to fan on their face to get rid of the heat.
Along with the boys the girls also had separate line, sanding in a queue with umbrella in their hand. The queue was so long that it has touched the road.
However, the number of unemployed has increased so much that for 41 number of post at the Department, above three thousand candidates has applied.
As there are no options for Private Sectors in the state the eligible candidates had to go for Government Sector to survive in the state.
Though the number of literacy is increasing day by day in the state, besides the number of unemployment are also increasing, complaints a candidate.
It would have been helpful for us if the private companies are being set over here. There are very least chances of getting Government jobs but there would have been any private companies we would have opt for it, said a candidate.
