AGARTALA, September 9 (TIWN): CBI may investigate Bishalgarh / Rupaichari RD Block Scams as internal audit found many irregularities, looting of funds during the implementation of Central Schemes like MGNREGA, RMSA, NRHM to many others. Even High Court is not satisfied about the recent response of audit report from District Magistrates. “Hyderabad Timer Scandal” tainted Corrupt IAS officer Principal Secretary GSG Ayyangar forced District Magistrates to produce Audit report reply on urgent basis to satisfy High Court and stop CBI investigation by any means to save his ‘Lord Manik’s clean image. The leak of the secret special audit report on irregularities in Bishalgarh RD block in September last year had exposed a loot of Rs 51 crores in implementation of centrally sponsored schemes, including Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).As nine of the 14 officers and Govt employees, including prime culprit former Block Development Officer (BDO) of Bishalgarh Bimal Chakraborty bid their time behind bars awaiting trial, the State Government has been rocked by the exposure of a massive scam to the tune of Rs 160 crore in 33 of the state's 58 blocks.

It is suspected that Chief Minister asked Police not to file charge-sheet within 180 days against Manik's close aide scamster BDO Bimal Chakraborty so that Bimal could walk-out free from Jail.

As a result Bimal is a free bird under the leadership of Manik Sarkar. Bimal'sother two brothers also serving Manik Sarkar on daily basis . DYFI Secretary Amal Chakraborty and SP Security Kamal Chakraborty also part of Manik Sarkar's close coterie.

This huge amount was looted by officers and employees owing allegiance to the CPI-M and CPI-M leaders themselves between 2007 and 2013. Now it is known to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and central government may push for a CBI investigation into these massive corruptions.

Leader of Opposition Sudip Roy Barman told the media several times with documented evidences showing that in Tripura under the CM Manik controlled CPI-M)  govt has been promoting organized corruptions through some dishonest (but in CMs Good Book) officials and of course under the efficient (!) guidance of some ministers in the Cabinet( that too by those belonging to Honest CM Manik lobby).

Opposition leader Sudip RoyBarman also slammed the govt saying that if impartial and special audit is conducted in all the blocks the amount that was looted will definitely cross more than Rs 500 to Rs 600 crores. 

Out of the irregularities amounting to Rs 160.65 crore, Rs 10.44 crore had been siphoned off from centrally sponsored schemes other than MGNREGA, but an amount of Rs 150.21 crore had been looted in the implementation of rural job scheme. Even after all this, the constant lies of CPI-M that Central Givt  is depriving Tripura.

But surprisingly the Centre, which is so much serious about the corruption issues in West Bengal like the one in Saradha Chit Fund case, which is now under CBI, too is showing a bit leniency towards the LF Govt in Tripura. In West Bengal some heavy weight leaders of the ruling party are behind the bars like Kunal Ghosh, Madan Mitra and some are counting for their turn. But when it comes to Tripura neither the Narendra Modi led BJP Govt nor CBI is showing any interest in the massive scams that have already been unearthed.

Even  Leader of Opposition Sudip Roy Barman speakign on  the corrupt CPI(M) Govt and CM Manik Sarkar in a press meet saying ," In the Internal Audit Report of 32 blocks Rs 300 crore 79 lakhs were looted by the ruling party and surely Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is a producer and director of this massive scam. 

The state government had done nothing to unearth the massive scam, but skeletons had tumbled out in normal course in internal audit.  Manik Sarkar successfuly transferred and demoted Director of Audit  to a non-significant post  after Audit director discovered irregularity.
