AGARTALA, September 9 (TIWN): Left Front parties and its affiliated wings on Monday organised a procession in Agartala against war. The procession was attended government employees, school teachers and students. Everybody have the right to raise voice against war. But which war the left front is protesting? Why their role is double standard? When US invaded Vietnam it’s a war, whereas when Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan the communist party of the country supported the aggression.Years’ back China showed their military power in Tiananmen Square, our communist party leaders so called champions of peace did not raise any voice. Instead the event was carried in front page of party newspaper. On behalf of the organiser it was stated that the entire sub continent of ours is heading towards war. Not a single festoon or slogan was raised against the aggression mentality of China. Is it not double standard attitude of Left Front parties ? To make the procession “Maha” (big) informal order was issued to all schools, colleges, government and government under taken offices employees to attend. Unwillingly, school children and Govt employees was forced to attend the procession. If failed they have to face music of ruling party.

How far it was right for keeping school, colleges and offices closed in the name of procession raising voice against war.
