Expired Medicine Scam : Opposition placed deputation to CMO demanding to improve the health service in the District

UDAIPUR, September 9 (TIWN): Demanding to provide overall health service in the Gomati District, District Congress on Tuesday placed 9 charter point deamnds to Gomati District CMO Nirmohan Jamatia.Keeping ahead the issue of the girl namely Debjani Bhowmik, who has been pushed with an expired saline when she was admitted in Tripura Sundar Jela Hospital on September 1st, the opposition has placed the deputation.They has demanded to provide strict punishment to the involved individuals.It is to be mentioned here that the Tripura Sundari Hospital, the only sub-divisional Hospital left in deplorable condition since 1 year, after the district hospital had been shifted to Tepania.Besides, The Oppositions has been demanding for this hospital’s renovation for long time so that the local people of Udaipur may be benefited.But instead of renovation, Tripura Sundari Jela Hospital’s all equipments have been transferred into Gomati District Hospital in 2014, after Minister Tapan Chakroborty's inauguration of the district hospital at Tepania.They demanded to initiate child ward, Maternity ward, surgery, operation theatre and others. Besides, they also demanded to start the facility of X-ray, ultra sound including CT scan and ventilators.Besides, they also demanded to initiate 24hours medicine counter and also to open Generic medical stores at all the hospitals.

The opposition also placed deputation to SDMO Bishnu Dey on September 7.

However, the opposition said that if their demands are not fulfilled within one month than they will be bound to go for severe protest.
