TYC called for civil disobedience movement on September 22

AGARTALA, August30 (TIWN): With the aim to strengthen their protest against the food security act, Tripura youth congress is scheduled to hold a massive demonstration in September.

The Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress on Sunday beckoned for state level mass demonstration which is to be held on September 22 at Vivekanda Stadium to protest against the rampant corruptions especially focusing on the partisan in the beneficiary lists for Food Security Bill. As a part of the agitation, they have gheraoud district magistrates of all the eight districts following submission of memorandum fromAugust 10 to 28.

As a part of the protest National President of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC), Amrinder Singh Raja also scheduled to take part in the protest on September 22 at Vivekanda stadium.

With six point charter of demand including the discrepancy of the Food Security Act list, deprivation of Tripura government employees, crime against women, chit fund issue, unemployment allowance, including rampant corruptions in MGNREGA prevailing in the Left bastion  the Tripura Pradesh youth congress would staged mass demonstration  at Vivekananda stadium on September 22.

It is to be mentioned here that The Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress has performed a series of state level agitation programme throughout August protesting against the rampant corruptions especially focusing on the Food Security Bill. As a part of the agitation, they had also gheraoud district magistrates of all the eight districts following submission of memorandum from August 10 to 28.

Tripura Youth Congress President Sushanta Chowdhury further said that corruption has reached its ultimatum in this left regime.  All most all the beneficiary lists prepared in every sub division only made space to the party cadres who don’t fall under Below Poverty Line (BPL) category. We demand the draft beneficiary publication should be given to all registered political parties and we also seek to extend the duration of final preparation of the lists for at least two months so that we could give their claims and objections.
