CM Manik Sarkar inspires children for Arts and culture

AGARTALA, August 30 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Sunday in the 12th Annual conference and felicitation program of Tripura Arts Society at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan said that Children are like clay, they get shaped as you trained them.

In the present times, we require an educational system that not only assures academic excellence but also the holistic development of a child. There is an alarming growth of impatience, intolerance and other negative traits. There is an immediate need to address these issues firmly.

Criticizing the Central government, CM Manik Sarkar further said that the central policy will spoil the education system of the world and has also blamed RSS for disrupting the peace of the country.

He also said that due the misrule of the RSS it has become next to impossible to conduct any photo exhibition as the RSS members always digs out a controversy in the exhibition.

He further added that significance of art is found in the lives of all from all walks of life, and have aimed to impart through technical efficiency the knowledge of arts in nascent minds of children. Art education not only is useful for children pursuing their careers in any field, but also opens up the minds for aesthetic understanding of beings that helps in making of a sensitive and active society.

Through art, one can observe the mental and intellectual development of a child. The learning of drawing and painting enables the child to develop an out of box thinking, enhance his/her innovative mind and cease to be introvert. The child learns to express himself and at the same time learn to do them with great precision and technical advancement, said Sarkar.
