Photo exhibition to be organized in the memory of photo journalist Late Rakesh Debnath

AGARTALA, August 17 (TIWN): Aiming to raise helping hand towards the family of photo journalist Late Rakesh Debnath, a team of photo journalist is going a photo exhibition on August 19 at Press Club.

The photo exhibition will continue till August 21. Photo Journalist ranjan Roy, Ramakanta Dey, Bikash Koley and Chinmoy Choudhury were present.

The programme will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. The exhibition has been organized to help the family of the late photo journalist Rakesh Debnath.  As he left his wife and child all alone in the world, a team of photo journalist of the state has organized the programme.

The amount which they will collect after selling the pictures, they will deposit it in the bank and will make a fix account for the girl child of late Rakesh Debnath.

He was photo journalist of Bengali Daily Ajkal. He was 38 at the time of death and survived by his wife and 6 month old daughter.

Sources said that Rakesh fell ill after his meal in last night and started to vomit. Immediately he was taken to bed by his wife and parents. But condition became serious due the cardiac arrest. The doctors declared him dead when he was shifted to GB Hospital.

Later on his body was handed over to relatives after post mortem. His body was taken to his home. Later on mortal remains of young journalist was brought to Agartala Press Club where Secretary, President and office bearer of Agartala Press club, journalists from all media houses offered floral tribute to late Rakesh Debnath.

His body was cremated at Battala Cremation Ground July 14. .
