Rape convict sent to 10 years imprisonment

UDAIPUR, August 13 (TIWN): Udaipur District and session court on Thursday sent a 47 year old man to 10 years of imprisonment in allegation of repeatedly raping a minor girl at Rajdhar nagar area under kakrabon police station 1 year back.

The convict is identified as Jamir Ali (47) resident of Rajdhar nagar area under kakrabon police station.

Reportedly, prior to 1 year back from now Jamir Ali took the rape victim to his house and raped her repeatedly after giving assurance of marriage within next few days.

He raped her repeatedly for few days and threatened her to remain silent or else he will kill her family members.

However, in a tragic note the minor became pregnant and Jamir denied marrying her.

The minor girl on 25 August, 2014 gave birth to baby boy in Tripura sundari hospital and on 27 August 2014 lodged a complaint against Jamir Ali in Kakrabon police station.

Following the complaint lodged by the victim police arrested the accused and submitted the charge sheet to the court.

Listening to the statement of 22 witness the Udaipur district and session court judge Asish Pal on Thursday sent the rape convict to 10 years of imprisonment along with a fine of amount of Rs. 20,000.

However, the court has also asked the IG prison to provide a financial aid of Rs.50, 000 to the rape victim.
