KAMALPUR, July 20 (TIWN): In a tragic incident, a youth of Bhawaliabasti under Ambassa namely Amlan Sharma (24) most probably lost his life as he slipped down a height of almost 100 feet at Sanaiya Reang para fountain this afternoon around 2-30 pm.
The Fire Service arrived at the spot after several request around 6 pm but having no equipments the search operation ceased. At last the local people came to the help of the picnic party to found the body.
In total 6 youths from Ambassa today arrived at Sanaiya Reang fountain under Kamalpur on the Halhali-Fatikroy NEC road to enjoy the scenic beauty which has been emerging as the most attractive tourist spot of the District and probably the State.
During their merry making a friend of Amlan slipped on the mossy stone and Amlan advanced to save him. Although the boy saved himself but Amlan slipped down almost a hundred feet down with the roaring fountain. Others immediately called on the fire service.
But due to lack of equipments to combat with such situations the staffs remained mere onlookers. The locales demanded 10, 000 rupees to find Amlan and the negotiation continued till now.
It has been assumed that, in rainy season when the fountain is at its full strength, then it is impossible for Amlan to survive. When it would able to trace him remained the question of the hour.
