BELONIA, July 2 (TIWN): President of 34 BJP Mandal Committee Gopal Chakraborty and District General Secretary Nirmal Tripura along with a team of 20 members visited the house of a minor rape victim on Thursday, for not taking any legal action against the rape accused by police..
The case had been registered on June 26 and after waiting for 6 days, not even a single action has been taken against the accused.
It is to be mentioned that the accused is a CPI-M cadre, identified as Dipak Debnath (22), a resident of Baidyakhil area under Puran Rajbari Police Station who has tried to rape a 14 years old girl.
President Gopal Chakraborty along with his team had a long discussion with the victim’s family and paid serious attention to the incident. Later, the team also visited the police station to inquire the update of this case.
After long conversation with the police and the families, 34 BJP Mandal Committee President Chakraborty announced to go for mass rally if the police do not take any legal action against the accused within a short period of time.
Detailing about incident it has been said that the incident happened on June 26 when the parents of the victim went out of the house due to some personal works. Finding the minor girl alone in the house, the accused CPI-M cadre forcefully entered the house and tried to rape the minor girl. Luckily in the mean time, a beggar entered their house and seeing the beggar the accused managed to flee from the house.
Then the parents registered a case against the accused with a hope of strict action would be taken against the accused. But till day no legal action has been taken by the Police.
It has been alleged that as the accused was a member of CPI-M party the police are allegedly neglecting the case.
