AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): Claiming that CPI-M as increasing violence and threatening the voters to get the votes in their names by hook and crook, BJP state committee submitted a deputation on June 26 with the respective Police Headquarter DGP Nagraj, Agartalaon Friday afternoon.

While talking to TIWN Sudhindra Dasgupta, All Tripura BJP State President said that the main reason behind this deputation was to appeal for maintaining the peace during the voting time at both the polling areas of Surma and Pratapgarh; as CPI-M has been unrolling violence and tortures among common people and ragging them before one day of the by-election. BJP also demands for the safety of women in the state, as violence against women are increasing in the state day after day and victims are not getting proper justice due to the negligence role of police.

According to the reports, on June 25, CPI-M cadres in all together around 20 members had beaten up a BJP member so brutally that he is being admitted to G.B. Hospital. Then BJP launched an FIR against those CPI-M cadres but police has arrested only three of them, namely Anil Das, Laxman Das and Nanigopal Namasudra, whereas the FIR had been launched against more than 15 persons. However the 3 accused are still in the police custody.

“But police is not doing proper justice to this case”, said Dasgupta. “Every police officials are acting according to the instructions given by the ruling party members, so they can’t neutrally act as the police would be.” Dasgutapta added.

All these have brewed up resentment among the oppositions and as well as the common people. However DGP Nagraj assured BJP to that the peace during the polling time will be maintained and also has worded to look properly into the case, launched by BJP against CPI-M cradres and will do proper investigation.
