AGARTALA, June 26 (TIWN): In the Golden era of the state where the public are uttering the terms like ‘Scam’, ‘Embezzlement’, and ‘Corruption’; another big issue of irregularities in the Anganwadi sector came in to fore.

Reportedly, the Anganwadi centre which was located at the Khejurbagan area took shelter at the New Hindi Higher Secondary School after they were forced to leave the room which they had rented to enforce the centre for the betterment of the student.

Similarly, another Anganwadi centre which was earlier located at the Lichubagan area has been also forced by the owner of the house to leave and to set the centre somewhere else, getting no other option the concern Anganwadi centre took shelter at the same school. The New Hindi Higher Secondary School authority gladly gave them shelter and provided them a room to continue both the centres in it.

Interestingly, where each of the Anganwadi centre has a list of around 80 students but only two to three students come to the centre to get education. Now the question arises that if from both the centres only 2 to 3 students attend the classes then where do the remaining cereals goes. As per report, more than 100 students of cereals arrive in the Anganwadi.

The cereals which have been sent to feed the stomach of the students who come to the centre, till today no report has been prepared regarding the left out cereals.

Besides, the New Hindi Higher Secondary School which has once given shelter to the Anganwadi centres, recently asked the authority to leave the room. Whereas the school is also suffering from various issues which includes- the school authority wants the Government to deploy funds so that they can run the school properly. But after prolonged days of request and also after winning the court cases regarding the issue till today no fund has been deployed.

The ruling Government where ensures to make the state 100 percent literate, in the meantime the Government showed negligence to deploy the funds for the concern school.

States need to focus in this regard as there is dire need to review the performance of the kitchen-cum-stores to ensure safety, hygiene and quality of food.
