AGARTALA, June 26 (TIWN): Taking up the issues related to the ongoing projects across the state here, the Governor of Tripura Tathagata Roy on Thursday has met the Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and his cabinet ministers at Agartala Pragna Bhawan. However, on the first ever meeting with the Governor Tathagata Roy, the state government sought his helping hand towards taking up the demands of the state with the Central Government.Taking up the issues including Indo-Bangla rail connectivity, air-connectivity, road-connectivity, power status, restoration of Kamalpur and Kailasahar airports and other several issues, Governor had met the cabinet ministers on Thursday.During the meeting held at Pragna Bhawan, Governor Tathagata Roy sought the status report of present power production from both Palatana OTPC and Rukhia. Besides, he also wanted to know the status report of the all the issues taken up during the meeting on Thursday.However, several others developmental works were also undertaken during the meeting on Thursday, where Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and his cabinet Ministers along with the state Chief secretary and Principal Secretary remained present.Governor Tathagata Roy had held a meeting with the state cabinet and the CM for the first time since after he had taken the oath as the Governor of the state.
