District Literacy Society held meeting at Dharmanagar

DHARMANAGAR/AGARTALA June 24 (TIWN): Social Education and Social Welfare Department Minister Bijta Nath recently in a meeting organized by District Literacy Society at North Tripura District Office said that the required steps would be taken as soon as possible for the development of the newly enrolled literate persons in the district.

District Literacy Society officials further said that in the coming 11 July evaluation will be done for the newly enrolled people in the Literacy planning. 241 centers will be opened for evaluation of the 3,278 newly enrolled people in the district, said officials of District Literacy Samiti.

Speaking in the meeting at District magistrate office Minister Bijita Nath urged the concerned officials to look into matter of getting more enrolled literate person in the district. Further initiative should be taken to promote the message at the interior areas of the district and the people residing along the tea-garden areas.

District Literacy Society coordinator Sidhartha Chakraborty said that 9 team is being organized to look into this matter. He further said that it is aimed to increase the number of enrollment people in the literacy planning in the coming days.

However,Chairman for Yuvarajnagar, Panisagar, and Kodomtola Panchayat Samiti, District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate along with other dignitaries remained present in the program.
