AGARTALA, June 23 (TIWN): Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) staged a protest rally on Tuesday at Bordowali raising voice against the BJP and Modi government’s policies.

The rally started from Bordowali and moved across several parts of the city including Battala aiming at protesting against the dominating policy of the central government.

However, DYFI State Secretary Amal Chakraborty, President for DYFI state committee Pankaj Ghosh along with other dignitaries remained present in the program.

Speaking at the rally Amal Chakraborty Secretary for DYFI said that the organization has to fight against the BJP and Modi government’s policies. This is the main task at hand. This requires a concerted opposition to the Modi government’s economic policies and its Hindutva oriented social and educational policies.

The draft resolution also spells out concrete steps to be taken in the political, social, cultural and educational fields to counter “Hindutva forces”, said Amal Chakraborty.  He further said that the Modi government had in the past few months pushed its agenda to help corporate and ignored the welfare of the common men.

He also said that the organization should strengthen itself to fight corrupt policies, communal forces, and atrocities against women done by the Central ruled government
