AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): Amidst pomp and gaiety, Tripura High Court Bar Association members welcomed Justice of the Supreme Court of India, T.S. Thakur, of India on Saturday.Justice of the Supreme Court of India, T.S. Thakur is scheduled to attend a seminar on “Law awareness†at Rabindra Bhawan on on Saturday evening, organized by the initiative Tripura State Legal service.HC Chief Justice Deepak Gupta, and his companion judges including Justice U.B. Saha, Justice S.C. Das and Justice Subhasis Talapatra remained present in the welcome ceremony.Addressing the Bar Association welcome programme Justice of the Supreme Court of India T.S. Thakur stated that Tripura’s High Court has the most beautiful bullding architecture, also has the good working progress in curbing the crime rate of the state.He further stated that since the establishment of the high court in Tripura, the cases are solved after doing proper investigation and deserving punishment is convicted to accused. It is to be mentioned that T.S. Thakur is a former acting Chief Justice of Delhi High Court and later took over as Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, after which he was elevated to the Supreme Court of India. In view of rising corruptions in State Govt. under Manik Sarkar's Chief Ministership, common people of Tripura keeping their last hopes on High Court's Justice system. Inept State administration failed to do justice to State Govt employees, Doctors, Teachers, State health care, hospitals, education system, Schools to Tribal areas - the list goes endless.
