AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): A review meet was held on Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) and Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) at the Pragna Bhavan on Saturday to eradicate the gap of understanding between administrative authority of the hospital and Rogi Kalyan Samiti.
The review meet was organized by the State Health and Family Welfare Society, Tripura and Health and FW Department. During the review meet, Health Minister Badal Chowdhury, Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department M. Nagaraju and other dignitaries were present.
The dignitaries has discussed about the various initiatives taken by the concern authority and the also about the fund deployed by the Rogi Kalyan Samiti to the state.
Speaking in this context, the dignitaries have discussed about the various ASHA incentives status for the financial year 2015-2016 which includes Maternal Health incentive, Child Health incentive and Family Planning incentives along with other Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP), National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP) and many other programmes.
They further mentioned about the essential equipments which are to be deployed in various Primary Health Centres of the state. Besides, a list of furniture, other fittings and sundry articles for the health sub-centers were mentioned during the meet.
Additionally, a list of equipments was presented including consumable items which are to be deployed in the various Health Sub-centers of the state.
According to the Directorate of Family Welfare, for the overall improvement of the health care service in the state several decisions were taken which includes that the MOI/ Cs of PHCs/ CHCs should regularly visit and monitor the activities of VHND and health sub-centres, Health camps should be conducted regularly, particularly in the hilly and remote area and in a befitting manner IEC activities will be done and CMOs should submit monthly reports in the format without nay failure to the higher authority.
It has been emphasized to convene regular meetings and to discuss about the various issues of development activities in the state. Doctors should pay more attention to the concerns of patients, developing an understandable relation with the patients. The Medical Officer Incharge of health institutions were asked to pay more attention to the cleanliness and hygiene in the hospitals. Along with paying more importance to the patient’s health diet, the dignitaries discussed about some more points.
