AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): After a prolonged search, on Friday morning the Tripura Police has successfully managed to arrest the two-wanted culprits who were involved in various kinds of illicit acts including robbery, stealing of hefty amount of gadgets.
The accused are identified as Shubrata Choudhury (28), resident of Master Para and Prasenjit Debnath (19) who is residing near to the Laxminarayan Bari.
Talking to TIWN, Officer in-Charge of West Tripura Police Shyama Prasad Das said that in a secret investigation on Friday morning the police have successfully managed to arrest the culprit Shubrata Choudhury from his residential area Master Para and later, they trapped the another culprit Prasenjit Debnath from Melarmath.
Reportedly, the police came into full action when a victim namely Arindam Banik, resident of Indranagar registered a complaint against the gang at the West Police Station after he was brutally beaten up by the gang on June 13. Detailing about the incident, Officer in-Charge Shyama Prasad Das said that the victim has registered the case 2-day after he was beaten black and blue and all his belongings including his cell phone and an amount of Rs. 4500 were nabbed from the wanted culprits.
Further, according to the police officials it has been suspected that the wanted culprits may have connection with some criminal gangs and may be involved in all the big robberies in the state.
Due to some restrictions in investigation procedure, the police officials could not disclose any further details about the culprits.
However, for the safety of the common people in the state it is necessary for the police authority to take proper action to bring such kind of crimes under control. Otherwise, the day is not far when the culprits like Shubrata and Prasenjit would not be feared to come out in the day light to accomplish their illicit action, fueling the rise of crime in the state.
