AGARTALA, June 17 (TIWN): keeping eye on the successful conduct of the by-election, District Magistrate Dr. Millind Ramteke has appointed 9 sector officers for the 13-Pratapgarh Constituency and 3 officers are kept Reserve.
Joint Director for the Park and land Conservation department S. Das is appointed for the polling booth from 1 to 10, Tripura Housing and construction official Manoj kumar Roy is appointed for the polling booth from 11 to 20, the Park and land Conservation department Assistant Director M. Debbarma is appointed for 21 to 27 and 32 to 24 polling booth.
Assistant Director H. Nandi of the Park and land Conservation department is appointed for 28 to 31, 35 to 37, 39 to 41 pooling booth centre. For 38, 42 to 48, 57 and 60 pooling centre Assistant Director of Agricultural Department S. Baidya is appointed as the sector officer. PWD Executive Engineer B. Pal is appointed as the sector officer for polling booth from 49 to 56, 59 and 61 pooling booth centre.
However, among the reserve officers are, Assistant Director M. Debnath of the Park and land Conservation department, Assistant Director for Sports Department B. Sinha, and Joint Director of Agricultural Department P.B. Jamatia.
The total number of polling centre is 61.
50,004 are the total number of voters and among the total number of voters, the number of female voters stands at 24, 492 and male voters are 25, 512.
By-elections for Pratapgarh and Surma assembly constituency in Tripura would be conducted on June 27.
Counting of votes would be held on June 30, as per ECI notification. However, the scrutiny of the nomination papers is done.
The ECI on its notification declared that the polling for by-elections in the mentioned state would start from 8:00 AM and would be continued till 5:00 PM. The elections will be completed by July 2, 2015, issued ECI. The commission has decided that the voter’s identification shall be mandatory in the aforementioned by-elections at the time of poll. Electoral photo identity card (EPIC) shall be the main document of identification of a voter.
The model of conduct shall come into force with the immediate effect in the districts in which the whole or any part of the Assembly Constituency going for by-election is included, ECI decided.
It is to be mentioned here that almost all the political parties here in Tripura have geared up for the upcoming by-elections slated to be held on June 27, 2015.
