AGARTALA, June 13 (TIWN): Addressing the press at Somraj Hotel on Saturday, Tripura Tourism Development Forum president Ajit Kumar Paul stated that they had successfully attended the 3rd annual International tourism fair, organized by Bangladesh Federation of Tourism Development at Dhaka from 21st to 23rd May, 2015.
Speaking to the media, President Ajit Kumar Paul also stated that the fair of tourism was held at the premises of Bangabandhu international conventional Hall Dhaka for three days. However, the fair was attended by the state Tourism Minister Ratan Bhowmik, B.k.Sahu Secretary for tourism; along with other officials from Tripura Tourism Development Corporation and a team of 11 members attended the fair from the state.
Tourism Minister of Bangladesh Rased Khan Menon also attended the 3 day long tourism fair at Bangladesh.
The fair had participants from Nepal, Bhutan and India and more than fifty numbers of stalls were opened at the fair including the stall of Tripura Tourism Development Forum also.
President Ajit Kumar Paul further stated that this 3 day long international fair at Bangladesh will act as a boon for developing the tourism sector of the state as with this fair the Tripura Tourism Development Forum has also given a call to people of Bangladesh to come and take a visit of our historical state Tripura. The state has the potential in the field of tourism, besides the natural beauty the state has many tourist hotspots from archeological sites to religious sites which can be explored to the tourist for developing the tourism industry of the state.
