AGARTALA, June 13 (TIWN): State’s few courts have recently announced few hearings with maximum punishments to the convicts, which are raising hopes to the victims of the state; a state where criminals are generally used to roam openly in the society. The convicts are punished for 5 to10 years of imprisonment for their indulgence in different types of crimes.

Such penalties taking by courts’ judges are really praiseworthy which may help to decrease the crime and give a shape to the lawless society, where rape, assault upon women, murder, domestic violence etc. are everyday issues.

It is to be mentioned here that Bishoram Reang of Hezacherra Reang Relief camp under Kanchanpur Subdivision was on Thursday sentenced to undergo five years’ rigorous imprisonment, after the final hearing given by District and Sessions Judge of Dharmanagar  This man was responsible for the death of a person namely David Reang which resulted out of their personal disputes. He will now has to suffer his 5 years of life in jail.

Moreover another minor girl who had been raped in 2013, also got the proper justice on the same day. The convict namely Md Abdul Ali of Uttar Gandhitilla under Damchera PS  has been punished for 15 years rigorous imprisonment for raping this minor girl. District and Sessions Judge of Dharmanagar on Thursday announced his judgement against this rapist which is really worthy to praise.

On the other hand, the District and Additional Session Judge Court on Friday announced 10 years and 7 months of imprisonment to 3 rape-convicted persons, namely Dashuranjan Debbarma (26), Infren Debbarma (25) and Anup Debbarma (30) who were found guilty of gang-rape of a minor girl of South Doshghoria under Sidhai Police Station.

So, the law and judicial system of the state seems becoming better, which is a sign of an upgrading society. The state is presently undergoing various threats against women, children and helpless people. In such a condition of crisis this type of hearings are really a hope to the victimized and lawless society, running under the leadership of Left front Govt.
